Police K-9 Locates Burglar In City Store
Patrolman Chris Bracco said he, his German Shepherd, Vago, and several other Binghamton officers responded to a second-floor alarm at Boscov's at 5 a.m. Sunday. He released the dog to search for intruders. Bracco said they found Kim Brehaut, 24, of Johnson City, hiding in a fitting room after Vago indicated where she was.
“Without the dog, we wouldn’t have been able to find her,” he said.
Bracco said Brehaut stayed in the building Saturday night after closing, intending to steal money from the cash registers. She was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, and sent to Broome County Jail.
